Per Leander MSc Phys Eng 30 years railway

Per is the founder and general manager of Transrail.
He started his railway career at ASEA Traction (Bombardier Sweden) on rolling stock, traction and systems development. Per later became manager of the electrical engineering office, and was project engineer and technical coordinator for ASEA's first total rail contract, the Istanbul LRTS.
Per joined SJ technical division as manager of the engineering unit, responsible for acquisition and refurbishment of all types and rolling stock as well as giving support to the maintenance workshops of SJ. During this period Per carried out extensive activities on international technical cooperation and standardisation as well as top-level projects within SJ.
Within Transrail, Per has of course been involved in most of the work of the company.
Mario Lagos MSc Applied Mathematics 20 years
railway experience, 25 in IT
One of the founders and owners of Transrail. Specialities: IT and
mathematical modelling in railways and transportation. He has developed
many calculation programs: technical vehicles aspects, resource
management, transportation planning and vehicle maintenance. He worked at
ABB Corporate Research, ABB Traction, ABB Atom and SJ before joining
Transrail.
Ragnar Odeen MSc Mech Eng 50+ years railway experience
Specialities: railway operation and rolling stock engineering from
procurement to overhaul, freight transport engineering, train ferry
engineering and dangerous goods transport regulations land & sea.
Lennart Kloow MSc Mech Eng 25 years railway
experience
Managed the test lab at SJ for ten years, testing railway vehicles in
Sweden and globally. Also responsible for wheel wear and running dynamic
issues as well as pantographs. He is certified in railway safety, was
internal business coach at SJ and is experienced as project manager.
Ulf Larsson MSc Elec Eng 20 years
railway experience, 2 in IT
Project manager, business advisor and systems engineer. Began at ABB
Traction (Bombardier Sweden) as technical project manager for US
locomotives and the new Stockholm C20 metro cars. Project manager for the
Izmir metro system turn-key project. Program manager at Icon Medialab
before Transrail.
Simon Rydberg MSc Comp Science, MSc Comp
Technology Railway/IT experience since 2000
Simon's specialities are all the parts of the system development. Design,
programming and testing. He has continually worked with the firm since the year
2000 during
his studies and performed his degree project here.
Esbjörn Eriksson MSc Systems Analysis 10+
years railway
experience, 10 in IT
Esbjörn has extensive experience from both IT and railway companies.
At Adtranz (now: Bombardier) he worked as system coordinator, document and
training responsible
for the TMS (Traffic Management System) platform EBICOS 900.
Consultant in information and document management at Excosoft AB, before
returning to the railway
in terms of railway construction and contracting, as engineer and project
manager at Carillion Rail Sverige AB.
Martin Joborn PhD Optimiztion, MSc Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering
10+ years of railway experience
Made his PhD about optimizing rail freight car distribution, together with
Green Cargo. Has been involved in the developed of several decision support systems based on optimization, such as freight
car distribution, train speed optimization and game scheduling. Has had roles as manager, project manager, consultant and
optimization expert. Speciality is to capture the aspects of planning problems into mathematical models that can be optimized.
Before joining Transrail, he worked at Jeppesen (Carmen Systems) and Linköping University.
Lars-Erik Maarup Electrical Engineer
25 years of experience from the rail industry
Lars have over the years been commissioning and servicing rail vehicles, mainly outside Sweden.
His product and functional knowledge is the base, for the project management and maintenance skills developed.
Lars has been holding various management positions, related to operation and maintenance.
Piotr Lukaszewicz PhD Railway Technology, MSc Electrical Engineering
Railway experience since 1990
Piotr works with railway related research and development. He has previously worked as senior research leader at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), dep of Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering.
Besides teaching railway technology, he also conducts investigation and research on topics such as energy consumption in rail service, train running resistance, and mathematical parameterisation and modelling of trains and drivers for simulation purposes. He has international experience and is also invited as guest professor to the Pontificia Comillas University (UPCO/IIT) in Madrid, Spain.
Anna-Carin Betzén MSc Computer Science and Engineering
IT experience since 1997
Anna-Carin works with system development and web development. She has a particular interest in user interface and usability issues. Earlier, she worked at Saab Systems (previously CelsiusTech Systems) with user support, system development, and CM support.
Andreas Törnblom MSc Mechanical Engineering
Environmental Engineering experience since 2002
Andreas has been working as an entrepreneur with business development in the environmental field. Since 2002 he has been involved in trade of energy saving products between China and the EU, and has also worked as a project manager supervising the launch of a Taiwanese plastics recycling company on the American market. In 2006 he successfully set up a recycling plant in Tulare, California.
Johan Wellton DIHM, Industrial Marketing
35 years experience in transportation and logistics
Johan has a background in law, business administration, IT, logistics and marketing. He has been working on a management level for more than 20 years, e.g. as Senior VP at RM Rocade AB (develops and markets IT-systems for the airline logistics, now owned by Sabre Airline Solutions), which he co-founded. At Scandinavian Airlines he was Director at Airline Management Planning & Control, where, among other things, he was partly responsible for developing a new production philosophy that generated substantial savings and a better utilization of the production resources.
Magnus Åhlander MSc Engineering Physics, MSc Computer Science
IT experience since 1999
Magnus has been working with system development since 1999, in areas like telecom, insurance, banking, defense and energy, mainly with Java technology. As a system developer he tries to deliver well-tested, high-quality solutions. He is also interested in methodology and behaviour-driven development.

Tomas Lidén MSc Mechanical engineering
Railway experience since 1990, IT since 1986
Tomas has worked at ÅF-Industriteknik, ADTranz Signal and Carmen Systems/Jeppesen with train traffic simulation, capacity studies, interlocking systems, decision support, planning systems and algorithmic SW development - mainly for the railway sector but also for aviation and other transportation modes. He's worked in the role of senior consultant, developer, maintenance responsible, system coordinator, first line manager, process analyst and sub-project manager. Tomas has extensive knowledge about the empty freight car distribution system at Green Cargo, and optimization algorithms for railway rolling stock circulation planning.
