	Uppsala PRT
Project management and system engineering of a PRT test track in Uppsala. Apart from many challenges, technical and others, Transrail is responsible to ensure the project target of a safety approval by the Swedish Rail Agency.

	High-speed train operation in winter climate
A study on winter problems as regards high-speed passenger train services in the Nordic countries. The study was carried out as part of the BV research project "The green train". The main purpose of the study has been to complie primarily Scandinavian knowledge and experiences.

	Nose Cone redesign
Already at the design reviews A-Train had concerns about the GRP nose cone. Latrer, operational experience shoved that a redesign was needed. The modification of an existing design would be difficult, and Transrail was entrusted with the task to manage this work on behalf of ATrain.

	Supervision of the delivery of the Arlanda Express vehicles
In 1997 A-Train engaged Transrail to assist in customer management of the GEC-Ahlstom (Alstom) delivery of the Arlanda Express shuttle trains. Reviewing design, manufacturing and project schedule Transrail staff also supervised manufacturing and type/commissioning tests, and before traffic start identified and supervised necessary modifications of the trains

	Tendering of a new generation commuter trains for Stockholm, Sweden.
Alstom contracted Transrail to support the successful tendering for a new generation commuter trains in Stockholm. Support on strategic issues, local conditions, drafting parts of the technical offer (incl the design booklet), translation of the tender, and in negotiations.

	Requirement specification for a new generation ticketing systems for SL
Based on our experience to handle project aspects on aesthetic and functional design, Transrail was commissioned to develop the design requirement specification for the purchase of a Smart Card ticketing system by SL.

	Support on tendering for SJ Regional Trains (X40)
Local assistance during the tendering phase of the X40 Regional Trains. Transrail commented the customer's requirement specification, gave information on their likely preferences and informed on other conditions for a successful bid. The order was won by Alstom Transport.

	Support on tendering for Gothenburg Tramways
Together with our partner Idesign, we prepared a Design Booklet, presenting the offered tram "Bris" based on Alstom's Citadis concept.

	Support on tendering of DMUs for Jönköping
Preparation of a Design Booklet, presenting the offered DMU. The work was done together with the French company Avant Premier and Idesign, our Swedish partner on Industrial Design.

Participation in the writing of a book on aesthetic design and design management in the public transport sector.
